Haley & Nate // Ann Arbor

Hayley contacted me through TheKnot & we hit it off right away. She told me what she was looking for as far as vibe and style. We actually took their engagement photos Downtown Detroit where there was more of a city vibe.

We had already discussed beforehand how we would like to add a bit of greenery or softness to the gallery as well so we headed over to the closest park, still in Detroit, & went to the top of a hill where the sun was setting that night & it was so pretty!

Wedding day arrived & gosh it was stunning! The event took place at Ann Arbor City Club which was a bit of a smaller venue but the vibes were all so classy. The ceremony took place outdoors followed up with cocktail hour then reception was indoors!

Depending on the timeline, i generally start out with taking detail shots, including the dress, shoes, rings, invitations & creating a beautiful flat lay to show these items off.

Next, the getting ready part of the day, to me, is super fun! Most of the time i will do some setting up & cleaning up during this part since things tend to get messy which is totally normal. A mix between candid & posed is what i went for here!

Now the guys on the other hand, thats a bit of a different story. I generally will do "fake" getting ready with the guys, if i had a quarter for every time i heard a guy tell me they don't know what to do with their hands. I would be rich for sure.
